1. What is MePs?
MePs refers to Medical Access Electronic Procurement system that uses internet or web-based technology to manage tenders and contracts for goods and services for all MAUL’s suppliers/bidders.
2. Can any supplier/bidder register in MePs?
A bidder must be prequalified by Medical Access Uganda Limited in at least one of the categories of the various goods or services.
3. How often should a supplier/bidder register in MePs?
A Bidder should register an account in MePs only once. Once registered, bidders are solely responsible for managing their accounts i.e. who has access to their account, usernames & password to be used, official email of the MePs account, content on the account such as address, etc.
4. What happens if I forget my Username or password?
In the event that a company forgets their Username, through the official contact person of the company they should either contact the Medical Access Procurement manager on +256 312 207300 or send an email to procurement@medicalaccess.co.ug In instances where you remember the username but not the password, then using the MePs web address/link you can enter the username and click “forgot password”. A link will be sent to the official email where you will be able to create a new password. Thereafter, please login to MePs and proceed with the intended activity
5. Is MePs usable on a phone and any other portable device?
Yes, it is usable on any device. MePs is a web-based link that is accessible and compatible with any browser.
6. Can it be downloaded to any other device such as a laptop, phone, desktop computer?
MePs is not an application and therefore can not be downloaded onto any device. However, the MePs link can be accessed on any device.
7. Who do I contact when am stuck while using MePs?
Refer to the materials available within the “learning centre” of MePs (manuals and videos). In case you need further assistance, contact the Medical Access Procurement manager on +256 312 207300 or send an email to procurement@medicalaccess.co.ug
8. What happens if I lose power or internet connectivity in the middle of a submission process?
MePs has the ability to provide a popup notice for successful uploads as well as an error notification if the document has failed to upload. Therefore, in instances of power loss/internet interruptions, the bidder is advised to resume from the last successful upload.
9. Can I work off line and download completed information into MePs regarding a tender?
A bidder can work on the requirements for a given bid offline and then login to MePs to submit the completed documentation. Please refer to the materials provided under the learning centre to guide your MePs system use.
